About

On this blog I intend to explore how history and cartography both inform and develop around each other through a graduate course at George Mason University taught by Dr. Paula Petrik.

The blog will center mostly around the class readings and be a continuation of our class discussions outside the classroom. I hope to learn more about Adobe Illustrator and the various other software programs and how to utilize my new MacBook Pro more effectively. What I most hope to get out of the course is how to explore my interests in popular music in a spatial sense. How can a spatial understanding of music and the arts inform our perception?

I very much look forward to developing my cartographic skills and conversing with my classmates. Feel free to follow my other blog and keep in touch.
