After three trips to Kinkos, I present my final layout.
I tried to keep the overall design because it received pretty positive feedback. I tweaked the title a bit, added subheadings, and added to the essay. I also created a new Ortelius map of my San Antonio spatial understanding. I felt this creates a better transition from SA to DC visually. Another visual added are two photographs of metro stations Archives and Shaw. This was a great idea of Dr. Petrik’s and I felt it really adds to the argument that the metro can be disorienting, thus imaginative landmarks can really help you. Kevin suggested I move around some of the captions a bit, which look much better. Cara had suggested that I make the highways more apparent on the Natural Scene Designer images. I liked this idea, but I think my new Ortelius map of San Antonio took care of this. I felt this handled that well, where as the Natural Scene Designer images take on the topographic argument better. Also, a better picture of me with my bike. Thanks for the feedback guys!
I think this design flows rather nicely, and of course, Ortelius saved the day yet again.
